PB & I
Over the course of my 6 month long internship and into my freelance contract, our client Northwestern Mutual, briefed us on an upcoming project that targeted the general public to educate them on the topic of finance. My role was to create varying lengths in storyboards that aims to answer and show in a fun, engaging way. Northwestern Mutual produces a series of youtube explainer videos every year that help dissect the importance of several different financing options, how to maximize your funds, savings, etc. I designed for Northwestern Mutual, alongside my Creative Director- Sal Lombardo, Art Director- Elizabeth Regan, and Junior Art Director- Lauren Adams.

Sample Storyboard: After receiving the final script from client, I get right into concepting. I dissect the script into frame by frame scenes which allows me to see the beginning, middle, and end. This also helps me to break up the script into sections, seeeing what spots are good to shift environment, insert a title card, stat card, etc. Since the script is what gets turned into VO after it gets animated, its important to know what action is being performed as the VO is set over the scene. We often have to shift art to fit the VO length better, keeping in mind that these scenes last anywhere from 0.5-5 seconds depending on the segment of VO.
